DEAR News Of The Area,
ON Thursday 30 April I locked my pushbike to the fence at home as I usually do when I leave it.
I came back to it about half an hour later to use it again and started to unlock it with the key, which started to bend and then it broke off with half stuck inside the lock and not able to be pulled out.
I needed a hacksaw or some bolt cutters, neither of which I had.
I called a local petrol station, NRMA, SES, Police, the Fire Brigade all to no avail and bussed it into town on a whim that the mechanics at Speedy Lube might be able to help me.
Sure enough, the boys rounded up some bolt cutters for me and one of the mechanics.
Mitch drove me home and with one bite cut the cable off the fence.
I was a very grateful pushbike rider once again.
Thank you all at Speedy Lube in town.
Good, honest, efficient chaps!
Regards,
Judy QUICKENDEN,
Coffs Harbour.
