LOCAL Land Services is inviting farmers, landholders, industry, community members and stakeholders across New South Wales to have their say on draft Local Strategic Delivery Plans that will guide local priorities and on-ground action from 2027 to 2032.
Public consultation is open until Tuesday 29 September 2026, providing an opportunity for communities to help shape how Local Land Services delivers advice, programs and services across each of its 11 regions.
Local Land Services Director Strategy and Performance Sue Anne Nicol said community feedback will be critical in ensuring the plans respond to regional needs and opportunities.
“These draft Local Strategic Delivery Plans set out how Local Land Services intends to work alongside landholders, communities and industry over the next five years to support productive agriculture, healthy environments and resilient regional communities,” Ms Nicol said.
“Every region across New South Wales has different opportunities and challenges, so it’s important we hear directly from local people about what matters most to them and where they would like to see investment and effort focused.”
The draft plans translate the statewide vision and strategic direction of Local Land Services into locally relevant priorities, to guide investment and action across agriculture, natural resource management, biosecurity, Aboriginal outcomes and engagement, climate adaptation, emergency management and invasive species management.
Consultation feedback will help refine the plans before they are finalised and approved.
“Whether you’re a farmer, land manager, industry representative, community member or stakeholder, we encourage you to take a few minutes to review your region’s draft plan and share your feedback,” Ms Nicol added.
Community members can review the draft plan for their region and complete an online survey during the consultation period.
