DEAR News Of The Area,
WE, and many other community members, are dismayed and outraged at Coles’ decision to end supply of local goods, such as bananas, in local Coles stores.
We like shopping at Coles but we will all shop at Woolies if this decision remains unchanged.
Have the Coles CEOs thought about the effect of this change on local producers, or even care?
If the produce is to be sourced in Queensland, wouldn’t it be cheaper to buy here without freight and handling costs? We have contacted Coles CEO, Leah Weckert, expressing our extreme disappointment, and encourage other locals to do likewise.
