BONVILLE Sawtell Lions Club made a donation of $2500 to Little Wings to help support their charitable work transporting country children to city areas for ongoing medical treatment.
Little Wings is a not-for-profit organisation that provides free, professional, safe flight and ground transport services for seriously ill children in rural and regional NSW, ACT and Queensland.
Bonville Sawtell Lions became involved when member Peter Panouvic became aware of the number of children from Coffs Harbour and surrounds who need and use the service.
“Proceeds to make the donation came from our Bunnings barbecues and part profit from the sale of cakes and puddings for Lions Christmas and Christmas in July events,” Bonville Sawtell Lions President Warren Sydenham said.
