DEAR News Of The Area,
MEMBERS of the public who use the pathway between Park Beach Plaza and Orlando Street may be aware there is a blind corner under the railbridge on that path. I have had a collision on my pushbike with another bike there myself and I am writing this to warn people of it.
I have been painting white arrows on the path indicating which half of the path to use here depending which direction you are travelling.
I have asked City of Coffs Harbour to paint safety arrows on the path but they have refused.
I am not going to mark them anymore, so to those who use that path – mobile scooters, walking frames, canes, pushbike riders, ebike riders, skateboarders, pushbike riders, and pedestrians – please use your left side of the path if you are travelling to town and your left side of the path if you are travelling towards the Plaza.
This is for your and others’ safety.
Regards,
Judy QUICKENDEN,
Coffs Harbour.
