Suns to play first home game of season

THE COFFS Coast’s best junior basketballers will represent their region at home this weekend.

The Coffs Harbour Suns Youth Men (Under 20s) team play their first home game of their representative season, when they host the Hills Hornets from 5pm on Saturday, 11 April, at Sportz Central.

The game is part of Round 3 of the Basketball NSW Waratah Basketball League’s Youth Men season.

The Suns started their representative season splitting their doubleheader in Sydney, on the weekend of 28-29 March.

The Suns started their season on a winning note with a 66-63 win against the Central Coast Crusaders.

Noah Light top scored for the Suns with 34 points.

The Suns backed up the next day, going down 91-72 to this weekend’s opponent the Hills Hornets.

Riley Betland and Kaspa Ngohset top scored for the Suns with 21 points each.

The Waratah Basketball League season sees the Suns team take on teams from Sydney, the Central Coast, and Port Macquarie.
