COFFS Harbour Show Society’s recent Annual General Meeting (AGM) has established the executive committee for annual Agricultural Show 2027 and set the date for 23-24 April at Coffs Harbour Showground.
The committee includes president Rob Bradford, two vice presidents Tim Cheers and Alice Rehwinkel, secretary Judy Harrison, treasurer Lorraine Tibbs, and assistant Shannon Marsh.
“We have interested members to head up the entertainment section, and members to organise food and drink vendors, trade and sponsorship,” Ms Rehwinkel told News Of The Area.
“We are seeking more volunteers for this and are happy to welcome more members to join our show team.”
As the Show Society starts work on shaping next year’s event, the committee is working with the theme: Stronger Together.
“Our aim is to provide the community with an exciting line-up of entertainment, great exhibitions built from community engagement and involvement,” Ms Rehwinkel said.
“Through the show we would love to acknowledge the diversity of Coffs Harbour, and provide the community with a rich agricultural experience.”
The team has begun to work on building a program of events to include a range of age-appropriate entertainment, interesting demonstrations and displays, along with entertainment and shows for the main arena.
There will be the usual show rides, sideshow alley, horse competitions, pavilion competitions, woodchopping events, cattle showing and more, with some new entertainment and displays being sought.
Soon to be released is the pavilion section schedule, where competitions for best scones and fruitcakes will be judged, along with the biggest and best veggies.
“Schools, creative groups and community members can all be part of our great show by cooking, creating and entering the pavilion section,” Ms Rehwinkel said.
“We are calling on interested trade stall holders to get in early to secure your site.
“We aim to fill the showground, so all businesses are welcome to put up a trade stall and share their business with the Coffs Harbour community.”
The committee is also keen to have community performers showcase their talents and are urging those interested to make contact.
A range of sponsorships to support the show are available, Ms Rehwinkel said, including naming rights to sections, and gold, silver or bronze packages.
The 2027 show committee is made up of new members and existing members.
“We have some new younger members coming on board to bring fresh excitement and ideas to implement at the 2027 show,” Ms Rehwinkel said.
“Our older members will share and pass on their knowledge making for a great collaborative team.”
The incoming committee thanked its outgoing committee members for the tireless effort they put in toward the 2026 show and its preparation.
