A WOMAN has tragically died in a crash at Bellingen on Thursday afternoon.

A WOMAN has tragically died in a crash at Bellingen on Thursday afternoon.

About 4.20pm yesterday, emergency services responded to reports of a vehicle travelling along Hammond Street, Bellingen, when it left the roadway and crashed into two parked and unattended cars in a carpark.

Bystanders and attending officers from Coffs-Clarence Police District performed CPR on a female passenger – believed to be aged in her 70s – until the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics.
However, she could not be revived and died at the location.

Both the female driver aged in her 60s and another female passenger in her 8s were treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Coffs Harbour Hospital.

The older woman is in a critical condition with the driver being listed in a serious but stable condition.

A crime scene has been established.
