Arts Mid North Coast opens applications for new SEED grants program

ARTS Mid North Coast has launched its new SEED Grants Program, for grants of between $500 and $2500 to support community-driven arts and cultural projects across the region.

Applications are open now and close 24 July 2026.

SEED is designed to provide flexible, accessible support for artists and communities to bring creative ideas to life, from workshops and exhibitions to public art, performances, or new collaborations.

It is made possible through funding from the NSW Government via Create NSW.

“SEED is about removing barriers and making it easier for local artists and community groups to get their projects started,” said Olivia Parker, Executive Director of Arts Mid North Coast.

“We know there are brilliant ideas out there across the region. This program is here to help bring them to life.”

Applications are open to individual artists, community groups, and not-for-profit organisations based within Arts Mid North Coast’s member LGAs which include City of Coffs Harbour, Bellingen Shire and Nambucca Valley.

“We’d love to hear from artists and community groups across the whole region,” Ms Parker said..

“Whether you’re planning something intimate and local or something that brings a whole community together, we encourage you to apply.”

Formerly known as CASP grants, in 2025 funding was provided to Bellingen Arts Council for its Bellingen Shire Arts Trail Weekend.

Dorrigo Folk & Bluegrass Festival received a grant to pay for its Brushin’ up the Backdrop community art program.

Woolgoolga theatre and dramatic arts leader Jade Naidu was successful in her application for funding the Gumbaynggirr Choreography for ‘Threads – A New Australian Eco Musical’.

Artist recipients were Bellingen’s Kelly Joy, who produced her solo exhibition, Bloodlines Heartlands, and Coffs Harbour’s Sarah Mufford, who presented her solo exhibition Ornament at Nulla Nulla Regional Gallery.

Taranta Arts Festival received a grant to create Ancestral Voices, collaborative songwriting with culturally diverse musicians.
