ANOTHER winter sporting season on the Coffs Coast is in the books.
These were the best sporting clubs of the region throughout the winter months.
Coffs Harbour Comets: The dominant club of Group 2 Junior Rugby League, winning the Under 16s, Under 15s, and Under 14s premierships.
Also won the women’s premiership in their first season in the competition.
Coffs Harbour Snappers: Represented on grand final day in all eight games.
Won the reserve grade and under-14s girls premierships and finished runners-up in first grade and women’s.
Northern Storm FC: Runners up in the Men’s Premier League, and were the strongest junior club winning five of the twelve titles on offer.
Sawtell Dodgers: Won their fourth-straight title, taking out Coffs Harbour Baseball Association’s A-Grade championship.
Sawtell Panthers: Won Group 2 Rugby League’s Club Championship for most combined premiership points during the home and away season.
Won the reserve grade, 17s Girls, and 15s Girls premierships.
Sawtell/Toormina Saints: Added three more premierships to their extensive trophy cabinet; winning the women’s, Under 16s Boys, and Under 12s Mixed competitions.
Woolgoolga FC: The Woolgoolga Wolves went through undefeated to win North Coast Football’s Men’s Premier League title.
Also won two junior titles.
Woolgoolga Seahorses: Runners-up in first-grade, and were preliminary finalists in the reserve grade and women’s competitions.
