BONVILLE Sawtell Lions Club members marked a successful first half-year at their Christmas meeting, which included giving cash to local schools for end-of-year student awards.
“We thank the City of Coffs Harbour Council for a Community Grant of $1650 which helped finance the presentations,” club spokesperson Ida Scolari told News Of The Area.
“The eight primary schools in our area received $300 each and the Neville Brown Memorial Scholarship of $2000 goes to Toormina High School to assist Senior Students during their final two years.”
This scholarship is awarded to deserving students, often recognising academic achievement or career aspirations.
