The country boys caused the upset of the year by defeating NSW City 24-12.
The club’s Zoe Counter turned out for NSW Country in the under-16 girls representative team, which was coached by Snappers Jason Allwood and Stu McVicar.

THE KEMPSEY Cannonballs caused a massive boilover during the latest round of the Mid North Coast Rugby Union Northern Division season, breaking through for their first win of the season by defeating ladder-leaders the Coffs Harbour Snappers.
The Snappers were minus eight regular players on the day and had five players making their first-grade debut but still fielded a strong side, which is testament to the club’s depth in 2026.
The gallant Kempsey side outplayed the Snappers in all facets of the game, with the Snappers’ only points coming from two long-range intercepts.
The best for Snappers were Freddy Ralulu, Tom Sheely, Angus Cheetham and Morgan French.
The Port Macquarie Pirates moved to the top of the ladder with an emphatic 67-26 win against the Hastings Valley Vikings.
While the Port Pirates have leapfrogged the Snappers to claim the top rung in 1st XV, the Snappers’ reserves remain undefeated after edging out the Kempsey Cannonballs, 17-14.
The Grafton Redmen were too good for the SCU Marlins in reserve grade, finishing 63-17 winners at Coffs Coast Sport and Leisure Park.
Round 12
The match of the round this weekend falls to the Women’s 1st XV, where the Snappers face the table-topping Grafton side in a grand-final replay and, most likely, preview.

The men’s Mid North Coast Rugby Union Northern Division season continues with Round 12 matches.
The Coffs Harbour Snappers host the ever-improving Grafton Redmen at Coffs Rugby Park, during what will be the Snappers’ Old Boys Day.
With only three games left, the Snappers need to get back into the winner’s circle to maintain their position in the top two.
The SCU Marlins head south to take on the Port Macquarie Pirates, and the Kempsey Cannonballs host the Hastings Valley Vikings
