FRIDAY night presents the opportunity for the Coffs Harbour Golf Club to celebrate a rare milestone.
This year is the Club Centenary and tonight’s Centenary Gala Cocktail Party at the clubhouse is the culmination of 100 years not only of excellence on the course but plenty of fun and frivolity between members off it.
Coffs Harbour Golf Club General manager Paul McAra said he is looking forward to tonight‘s festivities.
“We’ve got so many members who’ve been here for such a long time and it’s great that they get to enjoy their special occasion,” Mr McAra said.
“More than 300 people are coming to the cocktail evening which should be an amazing night to celebrate.”
The club started in 1926 with just nine holes to become what it is now with a reputation of being one of the finest courses between Sydney and Brisbane.
“From the humblest beginnings the club has just gone from strength to strength,“ the general manager said.
“We’re just so blessed to have the quality of the course that we have now and the membership that we’ve got who are so supportive. “We’ve got so many members who’ve been here for such a long time and it’s great that they get to enjoy their special occasion.”
