Coffs hosts National Championships

COFFS Harbour has hosted the country’s best touch footballers for the fourteenth consecutive year.

National Touch League’s The Championships were held over four big days of representative touch football at the C.ex Coffs International Stadium and surrounding fields.

Coffs Coast players were part of Northern Eagles teams who contested The Championships, representing a region encompassing a large part of Northern NSW.

Coffs Coast players featured in the Northern Eagles Men’s 50s, Men’s 40s, Women’s 40s, Women’s 27s, and Women’s 20s sides.

The Northern Eagles won the Senior Mixed title triumphing 8-7 in their grand final against the South Queensland Sharks.

Aaron Ison and Kimberley Latimore were named players of the grand final.

The national event featured athletes in 25 age divisions ranging in age from 20s to 65s, and welcomed new entrants, including the Fremantle Rebels from Western Australia and the locally based Macksville Falcons.
