DEAR News Of The Area,
I recently had triple-bypass open-heart surgery at Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney. My wife, who is unwell, drove me to Bellingen Hospital to have my stitches out.
It was an extremely busy day and after waiting three hours my wife felt unwell and we decided it was best she drove home.
An hour later I was finished and on the mobile trying to negotiate a ride home when this lady tapped me on the shoulder and informed me that she would take me home.
I replied thank you so much and that I lived at Hydes Creek, five kilometres north of Bellingen.
It turns out she was visiting a friend at the hospital and she lives at Nambucca, which we all know is south of Bellingen.
Yes there are some unsavoury individuals around, but it would seem there are still plenty of angels.
Dianna, whoever you are, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Regards,
Richard Harris,
Hydes Creek.
