Advertising Feature: Lifehouse Care working for the peace and wellbeing of the community

THIS June, LifeHouse Care marks 30 years of serving locals across the Coffs Coast and beyond – offering practical help, crisis support and ongoing care to individuals and families doing it tough.

Founded in Coffs Harbour in 1996 as Coffs Harbour Care House, the organisation began with a single tin of smoked mussels found in a church cupboard.

From those humble beginnings, it has grown into a vital community network that has now supported hundreds of thousands of people through hardship and crisis.

LifeHouse Care operates as the community mission of LifeHouse Church, reaching across the Coffs Coast, Bellingen Shire, South Grafton and Moree.

Its Community Care work includes Personal Crisis Intervention, Food Assistance, Clothing and Furniture, Advocacy and Referral Services.

“Meeting people where they’re at—that’s what it’s all about,” said leader Nathan (Nato) Hannaford.

That approach is delivered through three key areas: Community Care on Earl Street, six Op Shops, and a network of seven food pantries—all working together to respond to real and growing needs in the region.

One of the key drivers of this work is LifeWalk, the organisation’s annual community fundraiser.

LifeWalk directly funds practical, relational crisis assistance—ensuring help can be offered quickly, personally, and where it is most needed.

As cost-of-living pressures continue to rise, demand for support is increasing—and so is the need for community partnership.

LifeHouse Care is calling on local businesses and individuals to get involved.

Support can be given through becoming a Community Partner, making a one-off gift, committing to regular giving, or getting behind LifeWalk.

As a registered charity and Public Benevolent Institution (PBI), all donations to the LifeHouse Care Gift Fund are tax-deductible.
