COMING to the City of Coffs Harbour’s Jetty Memorial Theatre on Friday 11 September at 7.30pm, Bombshells is Joanna Murray-Smith’s acclaimed comedy about the wonderfully chaotic inner lives of five unforgettable women.
Presented by Echo Theatre and directed by Jordan Best, this sharp, funny and heartfelt production explores women at very different stages of life.
From the exhaustion and guilt of parenting to the loneliness of widowhood, the uncertainty of a bride-to-be and the fierce determination of a teenage talent-quest competitor, each woman finds herself on the brink of something unexpected.
Through five beautifully crafted monologues, Bombshells gives voice to the thoughts we often keep to ourselves: the personal pep talks, private fears, impossible expectations and moments of sheer panic that can exist beneath even the most composed exterior.
With singing, dancing, comedy and plenty of honesty, these women are flawed, funny, vulnerable and completely relatable.
Their stories remind us that beneath the routines and responsibilities of everyday life, we’re all searching for connection, love, excitement and the chance to be truly seen.
Performed by a talented five-woman cast, Bombshells is pure storytelling about ordinary people and their extraordinary lives.
Warm, witty and wonderfully human, it’s a celebration of the chaos, courage and comedy of being ourselves.
We know these women (we’ve been these women!) so invite a bombshell you know and love, book your tickets now and discover the extraordinary lives behind the everyday faces.
Don’t miss this hilarious and heartfelt night of theatre.
