IT was another banner year for sport on the Coffs Coast with a number of clubs rising to the top as they added premierships to their trophy cabinets.
These were the best sporting clubs of 2025.
Nana Glen Lizards: Won last season’s first grade cricket competition after losing just one match.
Went through undefeated to win the T20 Cup, and won the Under 16s competition.
Sawtell Panthers: Finished runners up in first grade after making their first grand final since 2011.
Were strong in the juniors winning the Under 16s, Under 16s Girls Tackle, and Under 14s Girls Tackle premierships.
Woolgoolga Seahorses: Won Group 2 Rugby League’s Club Championship after finishing as minor premiers in the first grade, reserve grade, and women’s competitions.
Finished runners up in the reserves and women’s.
Coffs Harbour Snappers: Won a remarkable six Mid North Coast Rugby Union Northern Division premierships, and were runners up in first grade.
Coffs Harbour Breakers: Won both the AFL North Coast’s seniors and women’s premierships.
Sawtell/Toormina Saints: The only AFL North Coast club to make all four senior grand finals, winning the reserves premiership.
Coffs Harbour Comets: Were strong in the junior ranks winning the Under 14s and League Tag premierships, and finished runners up in the Under 13s.
Sawtell Cricket Club: Finished runners up in first grade in a close grand final, and won the Under 14s competition.
Woolgoolga Cricket Club Rebels: Won both the second grade and fourth grade premierships.
Coffs City United FC: Won North Coast Football’s Men’s Premier League title.
Woolgoolga FC: Runners up in the Premier League after finishing the home and away season as premiers.
Also won two junior premierships.
Boambee FC: Runners up in the women’s Premier League, and were strong in the juniors winning three premierships, the equal most of any club.
