COFFS Harbour Kart Racing Club is set to honour one of their most beloved former members with a long weekend of racing.
The club is hosting its annual Australian Kart Masters Honouring Ian Brown, from Friday, 5 June to Sunday, 7 June.
The event honours the legacy of Ian Brown, one of the club’s longest-serving volunteers, who passed away in 2022.
The event also honours Russell Grimson, with the class boasting the most competitors competing for the Russell Grimson Memorial Trophy.
Formerly known as the Over 40’s Titles, 2026 marks the 31st running of this event.
The Australian Kart Masters honouring Ian Brown is an event that its namesake worked passionately to elevate into a National Event for seasoned drivers aged 40 and above.
This year’s event takes on added significance, with the winner of the KA3 Masters category to be officially crowned the National Masters Champion.
The winning driver will earn eligibility to compete in the 2026 IAME Warrior Final (IWF26) in the X30 Masters category.
The 2026 IAME Warrior Final will take place from 19-24 October at the Leopard Circuit in Italy.
