THREE Coffs Coast swimmers have achieved top results at the Australian Multi-Class Open Championships on the Gold Coast.
Sara Bergen, Ethan Blockey and Rose-Anna Herden took on the nation’s best at the recent Australian Championships.
They were among eight Swimming North Coast members who competed at the Australian Multi-Class Open Championships.
The Multi-Class events are for swimmers aged 12 years and over who have an impairment in one of four categories; physical, intellectual, visual, and hearing.
Ethan Blockey had a great meet, finishing fourth in the 100m Backstroke, and also qualified for a total of four A Grade finals.
Sara Bergen finished ninth in the 50m Butterfly, and seventh in the 200m Freestyle (B Final).
Results
Ethan Blockey: 4th A Final 100m Backstroke, 7th A Final 200m Freestyle (PB), 6th A Final 100m Breaststroke (PB), 2nd B Final 100m Butterfly, 7th A Final 200m Individual Medley.
Sara Bergen: 9th A Final 50m Butterfly, 7th B Final 200m Freestyle, 13th 50m Backstroke, 19th 100m Backstroke, 29th 50m Freestyle.
Rose-Anna Herden 28th 400m Freestyle, 43rd 100m Freestyle, 22nd 200m Individual Medley (2nd Reserve).
