THE Eastern Dorrigo Hall Committee hosted the annual Mountain Christmas Carols at the Ulong Community Hall, on Saturday 13 December, creating a heartwarming celebration.
“The hall was beautifully adorned with Christmas decorations, setting the stage for an evening of festive cheer,” committee spokesperson Katie Sibio told News Of The Area.
The event featured a performance led by Vin Sibio from ONE26Bends band, accompanied by other local mountain musicians, playing Christmas carols.
Children of all ages joined in the fun, dancing and enjoying the music throughout the night.
A complimentary sausage sizzle added to the festivities, and the highlight of the evening was a special visit from Santa, Mrs Sibio said.
“Each child had the opportunity to visit Santa’s workshop and choose a gift, making the night even more memorable.
“The Carols were a huge success, with a joyous atmosphere and plenty of smiling faces, truly a “Christmas hug” for the community after a tough year for many on the mountain.”
Special thanks were given to City of Coffs Harbour Mayor Nikki Williams who attended the party, and Federal Member for Cowper Pat Conaghan for their generous donations, which helped make the event possible.
“Gratitude also goes to Member for Coffs Harbour Gurmesh Singh and City of Coffs Harbour’s new General Manager, Murray Wood, who attended, dressed up, danced and supported our event.
“The Mountain Christmas Carols event was the perfect way to cap off the year, bringing the community together for a festive, fun filled evening”.
