ANDREW MacLeod and the team at Macleods Furniture, Beds R Us and La-Z-Boy have donated $5,000 in gift cards to the St Vincent de Paul Society.
These cards will find their way into Christmas hampers delivered to families across Coffs Harbour, Woolgoolga, Sawtell, and Grafton, helping ensure that Santa doesn’t skip any houses this year.
Andrew’s connection to this cause runs deeper than a once-a-year gesture.
“Several years ago, I saw firsthand how hard local Vinnies members work to create Christmas hampers for families doing it tough,” Andrew said.
“Christmas should be a special time for kids.
“If we can help take some pressure off parents and bring a few extra smiles on Christmas morning, then it’s absolutely worth doing.”
With the cost of living continuing to rise, Christmas can feel especially heavy for those already under pressure.
That’s where the quiet heroes at Vinnies step in.
Leon Walsh from St Vincent de Paul Society in Coffs Harbour said, “Many families are struggling just to cover the basics, and Christmas only adds to that stress.
“The generosity of local businesses like Macleods makes a genuine difference.
“These gift cards will bring real relief and real joy to families who need it most.”
