LETTER: Affordable housing benefits us all

LETTER: Affordable housing benefits us all

DEAR News Of The Area,

I WRITE in reply to Peter Dingle (Enough of the virtue signalling, Bellingen Council, NOTA, 24.7.26).

When did teachers, nurses, essential service workers and others who can’t afford a $1 million mortgage become “minority and activist groups”?

As someone who had the good fortune to buy a home in the Bellingen shire before prices skyrocketed, I applaud council having the foresight to support a project that benefits us all by ensuring that the people who provide the services we need can afford to live in the area.

Regards,

Linda Dalton,

Bellingen.
