Make Your Support at Home Go Further

IF you’re receiving Support at Home, using your local not-for-profit Community Transport service could mean spending less of your package on transport – leaving more of your funding available for the other supports you need.

The Community Transport Company is a local not-for-profit that exists to help people stay independent, connected and involved in their community.

We provide safe, reliable and affordable transport for eligible older people – whether it’s a trip to a medical appointment, the shops, a social activity, or simply to visit family and friends.

For people on Support at Home, the way transport is arranged can make a real difference to how far a package stretches.

Community Transport may be a more economical option than transport arranged through your Support at Home provider, particularly where additional provider charges apply.

And every dollar you don’t need to spend on transport remains available for the other supports that matter – from help around the home and personal care to allied health and other services that help you live safely and independently.

You have choices about how your Support at Home funding is used.

Our local team can explain your transport options and work with you and your Support at Home provider to make accessing Community Transport easy.

Before using your Support at Home funding for transport, talk to us.

You may be surprised by how much further your package can go.
