FIRST Round Report plus final Medal Round

The first round of the Club Championships got underway with 33 players taking to the course. There was plenty of excitement and anticipation as everyone looked to make a strong start to the championship.

Conditions provided a good test for the field with intermittent downpours and showers for the first half. Players had to manage their game carefully throughout the round, negotiating water and mud on some holes. There were some excellent scores recorded, along with plenty of close competition as players battled to put themselves in the best possible position heading into the next round.

With the championship still wide open, every shot will count as the competition progresses. Congratulations to everyone who competed in Round 1, and well done to those who got their campaigns off to a flying start.

The stage is now set for Round 2, with plenty still to play for and the Club Championship title firmly up for grabs.

Good luck to all players for the next round!
