COFFS City Rotary Club’s Motor Show returns to Coffs Harbour’s Park Beach Plaza car park on Sunday 25 October.
Visitors can view an impressive line-up of more than 100 beautiful vehicles including vintage, exotic, classic and modern display cars and motorcycles, and a line-up of locally owned racing cars.
The annual event is supported by local car clubs and private owners, proudly displaying their precious motor cars and bikes.
People, young and old, come to inspect and appreciate the great display of fine machines, Coffs City Rotary’s committee chair Bob Carle told News Of The Area.
“We will have a special line-up of classic Holden cars from the Geoff King collection, as a promotion for the now-local National Holden Motor Museum, located at Coffs Harbour’s City Hill with the National Cartoon Gallery,” Mr Carle said.
“If you haven’t visited there yet, put it on your ‘must see’ list of things to do.”
A special appearance by Batman and Batgirl is expected to entertain visitors.
“Batman will also have his full-size [replica] Batmobile on display, with a special opportunity for families and guests to have photos taken with Batman and Batgirl next to the amazing Gothic Batmobile, via a gold coin donation, for local charity,” Mr Carle said.
Committee spokesperson Mike Camilleri told NOTA that a good turnout was expected, with a vast range of quality automotive machines.
“We … truly appreciate the support from our local Coffs Harbour businesses, and of course our awesome volunteers and Bat-Crew, who all contribute to making this a well-staged community and family event,” Mr Camilleri said.
“We welcome everyone to join us; doors open at 10 in the morning.”
Mr Carle thanked the organising committee for curating the multifaceted show of vehicles, notably Mike Camilleri, Rotarians Terry Maguire, Jay Clowes and Dahna Knight, and Mitchell Law and Chris Paynter from the National Holden Motor Museum.
The organisers said they were also indebted to the Park Beach Plaza Management Team for making the middle level of their car park available.
“It has never looked so good, as confirmed from our previous shows,” he said.
