JACKA Britton has had two stellar seasons in which he forged himself as one of AFL North Coast’s best junior players.
The Sawtell/Toormina Saints player was the best and fairest winner in both his club’s under-18s and under-16s sides this past season, a rare achievement historically.
The 16-year-old was also the vice-captain in the Saints’ under-16s premiership-winning side.
He led from the front in the grand final with 16 kicks, nine marks, and eight score involvements.
He also had a stellar 2025, finishing runner up in the under-16s best and fairest, as well as captaining the Combined High Schools North Coast team, and the Northern Heat team at state carnivals.
The Saints player has also represented the North Coast Force at the Northern NSW Championship.
The promising junior reflected on the highlights of his footy career so far.
“Winning the under-18s and under-16s best and fairest this season means so much to me,” he said.
“I’ve been playing footy my whole life and have put in lots of hard work and effort, a premiership takes the cake.
“The highlight of my footy career is definitely winning the under-16s grand final this season and finally beating Port Macquarie, who have beaten us in the grand finals in 2024 and 2025.”
