DEAR News Of The Area,
DURING the week my husband, Con, was admitted to Coffs Harbour Hospital with a heart problem.
He was treated so well by all staff – cleaners, nurses, doctors, specialists, and so on. What professional and humane treatment he received.
Con was able to be discharged within two days because of the thorough and expedient action undertaken.
Even under extreme pressure in the Emergency Department and Coronary Care Unit the staff were wonderful – so caring, hard-working and often with a welcome sense of humour.
Thank you all so much for your hard work and care. You are all saints.
One negative aspect of the hospital is the abysmal parking situation. There is nowhere close to park. It would be preferable to re-instate some paid parking, or have constantly supervised limited hourly parking, especially in the area next to the Coffs Professional Centre.
In one area where people were parking out of desperation, poles have been erected to stop that.
Regards,
Merrin Van Dartel,
Sawtell.
