TAKE a trip down memory lane at the Coffs Antique & Collectors Fair from 29-31 August.
Held in the Exhibition Hall at Coffs Harbour Showground, there will be antiques and collectables galore for sale as well as impressive displays of private collections, a special bottle collection from Grafton and a magnificent showcase of Shelley china from the Australasian Shelley Club.
“If you are a Shelley fan, pop into the ‘Shelley Room’ and visit the club members where they will have their individual sales tables and experts on hand to give advice,” said Fair Secretary Ingrid Gardiner.
“Early bird” trading begins on Friday, 29 August from 5pm-7:30pm, when your $20 entry fee includes two drinks, delicious savoury snacks and entry into the Lucky Door Prize.
There will also be four Buyers Draws throughout the evening – a chance to win a $50 voucher to spend at the Fair.
On Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 August, the Fair opens at 9am with an entry fee of $10 per person (no charge for children under 15), which includes entry into the Lucky Door Draw to win $200.00 of vouchers and an opportunity to vote for your favourite display in the exhibition section.
Saturday morning is a must for vintage car enthusiasts to enjoy a display of immaculate vintage cars and the rare opportunity to see Coffs Harbour’s first taxi, the “Hardacre Star”.
“The Orara Valley Museum will also be there with their working vintage machinery which always enthrals the young and old,” said Ingrid.
“During the weekend delicious home made lunches and treats will be available from the kitchen/dining area.
“Because many of our traders travel great distances to be part of this fantastic event, the Fair will close at 2.00pm on Sunday afternoon.”
This will be the Coffs Harbour Collectors Club’s 29th Annual Fair and all profits from this event are shared between local charities.
To date the Collectors Club have donated over $80,000.00 to local charities and look forward to continuing this tradition for years to come.
