A decade-long dream has become reality for Mitch and Georgia Walton, with the opening of Benny’s Café in the heart of Sawtell.
After returning home from Sydney in 2022, the couple set out to create the neighbourhood café they had long imagined during their daily commute to work.
Their vision was to establish a welcoming local meeting place centred on quality food, great coffee and friendly service.
Choosing a name proved to be one of the simplest decisions.
The café, Benny’s, takes its name from Ben Boyd Road, where the couple once lived.
Officially opening on Sunday, 19 July, Benny’s will offer freshly made sandwiches prepared to order alongside Botero coffee, with a focus on fresh ingredients and warm hospitality.
Located on Sawtell’s main street, the new café aims to provide locals and visitors with another inviting option to catch up over coffee or enjoy a freshly prepared meal.
The Grand Opening will be held on Sunday, 19 July, with the community invited to celebrate the milestone as Benny’s officially opens its doors.
